Jono's Lichfield Tourism

Tourism Tours and Talks

I’m Jono and I provide tours, talks and any information on the history of the historic city of Lichfield. My talks take the guests round the city centre, with gentle walking routes and taking time to take in, and observe, all of the beautiful buildings and architecture. A typical tour will last one and a half hours, but this can be tailored to suit the group or individuals. My tour group size can be from one person, to up to twenty with an age range from 8 to 80+!

A choice of tours can be selected, from a history ‘highlights’ tour providing the guests with a summary of Lichfield’s history over the centuries or chose from a selection of titles: The story of Lichfield’s Georgian Greats – Samuel Johnson; Erasmus Darwin; Anna Seward and David Garrick; What Lies Below – the story of the people under the gravestones of Lichfield Cathedral churchyard; a Victorian Promenade – the history of Lichfield through the 60 year reign of Queen Victoria; A City Ravaged – the bitter fight for Lichfield during the English Civil War.

Theatre, Studio, Cinema and Café

The Lichfield Garrick is a modern, purpose built theatre in Lichfield, a city in Staffordshire, England. The main auditorium seats 562 people and the Studio seats 157 people. The theatre is named after the 18th century actor David Garrick, who was brought up in Lichfield.

The cinema is the latest edition to Lichfield Garrick and offers blockbuster shows in the heart of the city. Whilst the Green Room provides some welcoming home made treats made in house.

All shows have been postponed or cancelled until the end of May.

During the theatre's closure we will be putting out engaging theatrical content on our social media.

I am a qualified multi instrumental music teacher. I offer private one to one music lessons and also run lessons using the Zoom platform.

I have a professional duo and perform for corporate events, weddings and garden parties. I also run a small community charity band which plays for Dementia, Cancer and Care homes.

I need help with marketing and advertising and all aspects of my work.
