The cost of travel adds up. Contribute your commuter cash!

Petrol money, train or bus fares, your early morning coffee or after-work snacks. It all adds up. It is a tough time for everybody at the moment and we appreciate you may be feeling a little helpless. By donating some of the cash you’d normally spend on your commute to a charity in need, you can support those who care for some of the more vulnerable members of our community.

Lichfield Cathedral

There has been a Cathedral in Lichfield for over 1300 years and we have faced many challenges before. While our building may be closed to keep everyone safe, we are still here, ever present, and at the heart of local initiatives to serve and to meet need.

We are also maintaining our daily round of worship, with three services streaming live on our website every day.

We are using every means possible to keep in touch with communities and to give them assurance and inspiration at this time.

Lichfield Garrick Theatre

Lichfield Garrick Theatre is an arts charity in the heart of our beautiful city. We produce and present top quality music, drama, comedy and many other live events. We also improve well-being by offering access to cultural enrichment to many different people, be it though Dementia Friendly film screenings, Supported Internships for adults with learning disabilities, or offering bursaries to young people to join our Young Rep companies.

Any support during this uncertain period of closure would mean the world to our audiences and participants.

Pathway Project

Pathway Project is a domestic and sexual abuse charity based in the centre of Lichfield.

We offer a range of high quality services to adults, young people and children across Lichfield and Tamworth including 1-2-1 support, counselling, refuge accommodation, group work to name but a few.

Our staff are working tirelessly behind the scenes maintaining support for as many victims as we can at the moment. Unfortunately due to COVID-19 all of our planned fundraising has been put on hold for the next 6 months. We now have a gap in our funding that we are unable to fill! We are perilously close to not being able to step in and save lives – and we do save lives.

We would really appreciate your help in these uncertain times.

St Giles Hospice

St Giles Hospice is a registered charity offering high-quality specialist care free of charge for people living with diseases which are terminal or incurable as well as providing support for their families and carers.

Patients come from across the hospice’s catchment area, which ranges from Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Atherstone in the east, to Cannock and Walsall in the west – and from Burton and Uttoxeter in the north, to Sutton Coldfield and Coleshill in the south.

Care is offered at the hospice’s centres in Whittington, Sutton Coldfield, Walsall and in patients’ own homes across the region.

St Giles spends over £10 million a year providing its specialist services and with little more than a third of this funded by the Government, the registered charity relies heavily on donations and income generation from the local community.
